About this list
The Evidence Library collects English-language research on aquatic therapy, mainly peer-reviewed journal articles. This beta covers 2024–2026, and we are adding more years. Records for 2024 papers are current as of October 22, 2026 (PubMed and other sources); records for 2025–2026 papers are current as of October 21, 2026 (PubMed) and October 18, 2026 (other sources). We include a paper when aquatic work is a substantive part of the study, and the Profession filter lists a paper under a profession only when its title or abstract names that profession. This list is for education, not medical advice. The Aquatic Therapy Foundation did not conduct these studies, and listing a paper is not an endorsement. Outcome measures, sample size, intervention and the key finding come from the PubMed abstract or, when a free full text was available, from its Methods; each is labeled with its source, nothing is inferred, and “Not stated” is shown when the source does not say. Where an abstract is quoted, the authors’ own words are in quotation marks and credited to them; for abstracts that are not openly licensed we quote one sentence of 40 words or fewer. Please read the original paper. To use it: type in the search box and press Search (or the Enter key), tap a quick-start button (“Find high quality studies” shows the higher-quality trials), or narrow the list with the filters. Click a column heading to sort. Click the arrow at the start of a title for study type, population and notes.
